This website will introduce you to my work as both an artist and a birding guide. Though I am known for my illustrations in various bird field guides there are other aspects to my art that I invite you to take a look at.  I currently live in London, Ontario with my wife Dawn and our three children, Jasmine, Zoe and Evan.  Like many other artists, I have been attracted to sketching and painting since a very young age.  After completing an honors degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph in 1990, I have illustrated a number of field guides to birds from countries such as Chile, Peru and Brazil, as well as North America. My concurrent training in fine arts at the University of Guelph has cultivated an interest in more traditional styles of painting and I am currently exploring some new directions.
